Photo Game

So here is my attempt to be a better blogger. When I first started this blog the focus was on wedding planning and anything associated with the wedding. So I am now trying to define the blog's purpose. Writing about my day doesn't seem rearly as exciting as it used to be. So I am currently looking for a new purpose or direction for the blog. My sweet friend Jenn tagged me in a photo game.
Here are the rules:
open your first photo folder* scroll down the 10th photo* post that photo and story on your blog* tag five friends to do the same

This is a picture right after my wedding ceremony. My precious grandfather came up and gave me a hug and a kiss. It was a sweet moment and am so glad the photographer was able to
capture it. My grandfather is one of the most special people to me..he is the epitome of a man. He treats my grandmother like a queen and has a heart of gold. Everytime I call to say hi, he immediately perks up. Love you grandaddy!
Tag 5 friends:
Kim
Meredith

Stacy
Meredith and Danielle..you were already tagged, but maybe this will be an extra push to post!
Love.

Honeymoon in San Francisco

So Jonathan and I had an amazing time in San Francisco and Napa Valley. It was a great trip and we can't wait to go back. We are already planning another trip to Napa. We arrived late Wednesday night and just wanted to get to our hotel. When I booked the hotel online I booked a king room with a view and prayed that it would be a good view. I also sais that it was our honeymoon and if they could have some champagne waiting for us that would be great. So we get to the hotel and give the conceirge our info. She walks over to another employee and he opens up a room for us..I immediately think the worst, but keep my mouth shut. Then she asks him black or white cards and he said..something like..let it be an early Christmas, so she gives us black. So we head up to the 30th floor mind you and open the door to our room. It has 6 bay windows with a view of every angle of San Francisco, two flat screen tvs, TWO bathrooms and a bathroom bigger than our apartment! Needless to say it was AMAZING! We had an extremely early morning, so JJ headed to get us breakfast in the private dining room...and we headed out to our Wine Country Tour. We had a blast. We visited 5 wineries and bought plenty of wine. Here are a few pics from our trip:

On Saturday we met my cousins Claire and Olivia and went back to Napa. We went to 7 wineries that day. We took them back to V.Sauttui which has an amazing Italian Deli and wine. We lunched outside and drank a bottle of wine and then proceeded onto to a few more wineries. We went to dinner at the Cliffhouse and it was delicious minus the crappy service! We definately broke the average age, but still we were there to spend money just like everyone else.
Just a little recap from the honeymoon. More posts to come..been in a blogging funk lately.

Thank You Part 2

I forgot to thank two other important people!! Tracine my hairstylist and Tiffany from MAC. I don't know how I forgot to thank these two ladies! Tracine works at Clique in Rice Village. She came to the hotel and did all of the girls hair and my moms. She did an amazing job with everyone's hair! Tiffany works at MAC in First Colony Mall. She did my mom and I's make-up for the wedding. She also did a fabulous job! I loved my make-up! It was natural, but yet classic. Needless to say these two ladies played a very important role on the wedding day.

Thank You

I would like to use this post to thank everyone that had a hand in helping make our wedding everything we envisioned and more. I owe the biggest thanks to my parents. They truly are the greatest parents a person could ever have. I know most people say that about their parents, but my parents we on board when we discussed scrapping the whole wedding after payments had been made and buying a house, supported me in every decision and change made, and they bought groceries and brought them to the apartment so we could have food when we came home from our honeymoon. My parents deserve a huge award for giving their daughter the best wedding a girl could ask for! They truly are the epitome of parents!

We would like to thank Jonathan's parents- Marty & Jenny for everything they did for the wedding as well. Thank you for hosting a fun rehearsal dinner at Pappasito's. It was a great night and I think everyone enjoyed themselves. Thank you for sending us on a great honeymoon as well. We had a fantastic time in San Francisco and can't wait to tell everyone about our trip. Thank you again for everything.

Next I would like to thank my bridesmaids. I cannot say enough about how much they did for me during the whole wedding planning process. They were there for everything. All of the planning, the shopping, the decision making they were a HUGE help. They also threw me 2 amazing showers. My bachelorette party was in one word- fabulous! They knocked it out of the ballpark. So a big thanks to my girls. Meredith, Danielle, Emily & Jenn- you are the greatest friends a girl could ever ask for- I love you!

Next I would like to thank all of the women who graciously hosted showers for Jonathan and I. We are so grateful to you ladies and everything you did for us. They opened their homes to us and our friends. We are truly blessed and so thankful to the ladies hospitality.

Of course I must thank Jonathan's men for their contributions. Thank you for throwing him his bachelor party and a poker night. Thank you for keeping him calm and for being such great friends.

Now I would like to thank all of our vendors:

  • Courtyard on St. James and Christiana. It was amazing from the food to service, everything was top-notch.
  • Darryl & Co- Pam & Lauren. Thank you for gorgeous arrangements, bouquets, linens, and petal tray. They took my vision and made it real. It was even better than I had imagined. Thank you ladies!
  • Edible Designs by Jessie. Jessie baked one delicious cake. She took my paper drawing and created a beautiful, classic wedding cake. Thank you!
  • Daulong's Mobile Music-Steven & Brandon. Thank you for finding all of the music my mom and I specially requested for the night.
  • Rom Ramey & The Ministers of Access- Thank you Ron for performing a great ceremony. It was everything Jonathan and I wanted for our ceremony and more.
  • Kevin Patrick Photography- Thank you Kevin & Dana! You both did an amazing job for all of our pictures. We absolutely love them all! There are so many great ones I don't know how we will chose. We have received so many compliments on the pictures. Thank you again for your hard work.

Lastly I would like to thank all of our friends and family for your constant support and love over the years. A special thank you to all of the out of town guests for making the trip to celebrate this joyous occasion with us. We are so thankful for each and everyone of you. Oh and thank you for coming to the wedding and having a great time. It was so fun and we both wish we could have been able to have more time with all of you there.

Ok I think that covers everyone...and if I forgot anyone..Thank you!!

Going to the Chapel....

So I am finally posting about the wedding! It one was crazy, but simply the most amazing day of my life. It started a bit rocky, but turned around quickly. The girls and I headed to Hotel Derek to start getting ready. We had a great time lounging in our robes, eating, laughing and enjoying the day. I was so calm all day until the rain clouds rolled in, but quickly rolled out. We had PERFECT weather! I was completely calm all day. I was relaxed and just enjoying the time getting ready. Once we were all day and the guys had made it to the Courtyard, we headed over. I went to the bridal suite and was still calm and cool. We took pre-ceremony pictures and I was fine until I heard Molly practice the song she was singing during the ceremony. I teared up big time! Before I knew I was standing with my dad waiting to walk down the aisle. I don't remember seeing anyone and just looking at Jonathan. Here are a few pictures..more to come!

I am obsessed with this picture.

The reception was amazing and fabulous as well. It was everything I had hoped it would be and more. We danced all night long and there are a ton of pictures. I will post more pictures tomorrow. Jonathan and I are both sick..and headed to the doctor tomorrow.
